He looked pretty damn grumpy. I’m betting he was meant to do it ages ago and avoided it like the plague and now his better half has put him to it. Most people in the south of France would give you a courteous “Bonjour” but not this guy. Just that classic old man one eye bigger than the other stare.

Aubeterre is a little closer and a lot prettier. Saint-Romain had some interesting modern buildings that I’ll post shortly. Akin to the ‘burbs back home, but french style.
